She chuckles as she adds on to describe her birthday party, “The party was at Narang House with over 200 people attending. The theme was gothic with a vampire overtone. I wore a vintage black dress with black beads and a cross while Timmy wore black lipstick.
We decorated the room with illuminated crosses, creepers, coffins, candles and blue lights while the dance floor was lit up with neon lights so when we flashed our teeth they looked green. I called it my ’spooktacular party!” Even the food and beverages were in sync with the theme.”
Well, for those who still want to see the actress’ magic on screen, there is a good news as the actress goes on to say, “I cut down on films when I got married. I decided to take a sabbatical. I wanted to enjoy my marriage but now I am reading scripts and hearing narrations. ”
Kareena Kapoor is the only female lead in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal-3 (if you don’t count Ratna Pathak, that is), and buzz is that Bebo had laid down this condition before coming on board the male-dominated comic flick.

The actress was more than willing. "My audience expects me to be sexy and sizzling at least in the naach-gaana routine. So I’ve gone ahead and done hip-shaking, that is a cross between Shakira’s Waka-Waka and Hips Don’t Lie. The choreographer Ganesh Acharya added our Bollywood moves to the track but there’s just this extra hip swing that I think is very hot," she said.
Katrina Kaif got injured on her nose while shooting for the next Yashraj film with co-star Imran Khan at the Pataudi Palace a few hours’ drive from Delhi.
From what we learn, the incident happened when Imran and Katrina were shooting a funny scene in which he held a gun in his hand while Kat stood beside him. He was supposed to turn and pull Kat towards him. But in doing so there was a slight error of judgement from the actor and he accidentally ended up hitting Katrina’s nose with the barrel of the gun.
The blow was pretty nasty and Katrina’s nose began to bleed. She was immediately rushed to her vanity van and administered first aid. A doctor was also called in to attend to her nose.
Though the bleeding stopped after a while, Katrina says there’s still a bruise left.
Incidentally, she was hit on the same spot on her nose when while shooting for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani her co-star Ranbir Kapoor accidentally landed a punch on her snout.
Hrithik Roshan doesn’t look to happy with the unveiling of the first look of his next film Guzaarish and its planned promotional campaign. The film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali is slated for release mid November and promos are already on air. Bhansali has the winning team of Hrithik and Ash on his hands and is geared up for the publicity campaign that’s been planned for months.
But Hrithik doesn’t seem to agree with filmmaker’s strategies and has been trying to convince Bhansali for a rethink. But despite working with the biggest names in the industry, Bhansali is known not to give in to their demands and put his foot down whenever necessary.
The same happened during the shooting of the film, while Ash completely gave in to her director’s vision, differences cropped up between Hrithik and Bhansali, which were eventually sorted out.
But their clash of personalities seems to have cropped up once again. Although a unit hand brushed it off saying, “It’s regular creative differences that happen with every film,” we are expecting some fireworks this Diwali.
Did we ever think how beautiful was Raavan’s sister Shurpanakha? Well the makers of the 3-D animation film Ramayan - The Epic were sure that she has to look beautiful in the film. So, while modeling Shurpanakha’s look they referred to one of the most stunning females of Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra.
According to the director Chetan Desai they were in dilemma for Shurpanakha’s look as they couldn’t find any Indian beauty that would match her face. Raavan’s sister in Hindu mythology is known to be the most beautiful woman.
“We had to find someone as stunning as Shurpanakha… It was then that I remembered Priyanka in Aitraaz and how she looked then,” says Chetan. So Priyanka’s basic look from Aitraaz made the animated Shurpanakha beautiful.
Ramayan - The Epic, a Ketan Mehta dream project on the famous epic the Ramayan, is ready to release on October 15. For the film Juhi Chawla has given voice to Sita, Manoj Bajpai has done it for Ram and Raavan’s villainous voice is of Ashutosh Rana.

How did Urumi evolve and what made you turn producer? If there is a god in cinematography, it has to be Santosh Sivan! He weaves magic with the camera. This will be my third film with him. Santosh narrated the story of Urumi three years ago to me when I played the lead role in his Anandabhadram. Later, during the making of Raavanan, things started taking shape and finally, along with my friend Shaji Natesan, we joined hands as producers.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will not be performing at the Oct 3 opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games (CWG), organisers said on Tuesday.
"Shah Rukh is definitely not performing at the opening ceremony. However, I don’t know if he is planning to attend the event or if he has received any invite from the organising committee. But he is not performing," said Viraf Sarkari, director of Wizcraft International Entertainment.
The opening ceremony of the Oct 3-14 mega sports event will be a mélange of Indian dances and songs, said Sarkari. Wizcraft is behind the cultural evening at the event.
Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman will be performing a few songs, apart from the latest version of the CWG anthem. But the Bollywood quotient will take a back seat as India’s cultural heritage will rule the stage on D-day, added Sarkari.
The opening ceremony will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Ranbir Kapoor, the ’prince of Bollywood’, turns 28 on September 28.

Dreams, Asin has been keeping a low profile. Many wondered whether she was busy down South. But the buzz has it that the actress has signed not one but two Hindi films and the lull in the interim was only because she was waiting for the right script to come along.
Our source said, “Asin is currently shooting for Ready with Salman Khan. She has recently been signed on for two films and will start shooting for them next year.”
However, the details of the projects are being kept under wraps. “But both films are thorough entertainers,” said our source.
Though Asin was unavailable for comment, her father Mr. Thottumkal confirmed the news saying, “Yes, it is true that Asin has signed two Hindi films. But we cannot say anything right now till an official announcement is made from the producer’s side.”
Let’s hope that Asin will now be in the news for her performances on screen in the future as there were stories about her not being in the reckoning for the top spot recently.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan seems hell-bent to make his home production Ra.One a sci-fi thriller extraordinaire, at a par with the ones that Hollywood makes.
After roping in the best hands and minds at stunts and special effects, the King Khan is learnt to have signed the world renowned German composer Hans Zimmer to compose the background score of the film.
Zimmer has composed music for films like Gladiator, Pirates of The Caribbean series, The Da Vinci Code, The Dark Knight and Inception. Considering Zimmer’s credentials, his inclusion in Ra.One, if true, is indeed a big catch for SRK.
We hear that it was director Anubhav Sinha who suggested signing up Zimmer for the film. Though the buzz is that Zimmer has been paid a whopping amount for coming aboard, there’s no official confirmation yet of this.
SRK has already made Akon sing a song for Ra.One.
Rishi Kapoor is excited about son Ranbir’s first global concert that will take him to 16 cities next year. The fond father says the shows, along with Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor and possibly Deepika Padukone, will offer freshness to the audience who are bored of seeing the same thing over and over again.
“All I can tell you is that we have Katrina, Priyanka and Shahid Kapoor on board. Deepika is likely to be on board. She hasn’t been signed on yet. No Bollywood concerts have happened abroad in the last three years. Audiences abroad were bored of watching our stars perform the same songs over and over again,” said Rishi.
“My boy has waited patiently for three years until he thought he was ready to face a live audience. He has turned down all offers to perform at awards function. And that’s his show’s USP. When actors perform at awards function these are beamed to dozens of countries across the world. Therefore there is no novelty left in watching a star dance on stage. My son has never been seen live.”
The concert, that Rishi is co-producing with Moranis, will kick-start in the first week of June and go on till the third week of July. This is the first time the actor is actively involved with producing live concerts.
“And why not? This is the first time that my son will be stepping on to a live stage. I want to make sure everything goes right. So yes, I’m producing and presenting the live concerts. With my experience in live concerts I know I can be useful. I don’t want anything to go wrong for my son,” he said.
It is being reliably learnt that Rishi will for the first time share a public platform with his son. But he tries to dodge out of giving a categorical answer to that one.
“There’s talk on this. We’re thinking of a retro section. We’re exploring the possibility of me and Ranbir coming together. But right now I can’t tell you more on this,” he said.
Besides the entourage mentioned earlier, a singer from Pakistan is also being finalised.
While the first lap of Ranbir’s world tour will take him to Europe, America and Canada, the second world tour - expected in 2011 - will take the young actor to the Gulf and South Africa.
This is one onscreen star couple who have not been linked up romantically by the media. While that may be because they are constantly being paired with their other co-stars, their current friendship didn’t happen instantaneously.
It comes as great relief to Priyanka of course, that for the first time in her entire career, that she has not been linked with her co-star.
She says, “Thankfully there was no link up and our friendship was projected in the right perspective during the making of the film in the U.S.”

The actor admits that he has not yet gotten over his teenage crush on actor Madhuri Dixit. The Kapoor scion says that given a choice he’d love to do a ‘loyalty test’ on her even if she’s happily married.
The actor is referring to a popular international reality show that’s based on a relationship being put to test by an undercover agent, who tries to flirt and wean away one partner in a relationship. “When it comes to Madhuri Dixit, I am tempted to do a loyalty test on her... No other woman has that effect on me,” says Ranbir coyly when talking of his childhood crush.
Even if she’s happily married to Dr Sriram Nene and with two kids?“I know I shouldn’t be saying this. But come on, she’s my favourite actor, and it doesn’t matter that she’s married,” quips Ranbir.
Since he’s brought up the topic of trying to lure a woman he fancied away from her boyfriend or husband, would he do that in the future? “I’d be petrified. Besides, I am not as good an actor to track somebody this close,” says the newest superstar on the block.
However, Ranbir hopes to make films on Emotional Atyachaar type topics in the future. “Our culture doesn’t allow us to glorify this side of human nature, but it’s important to know that such things are rampant here too,” he says.
Mallika Sherawat resents her ‘Dhamaal 2’ co-star Kangna Ranaut and she isn’t hiding it.
The reason is that Kangna is being tagged as having a ‘sexy’ role in the comic flick. Mallika is convinced that the term belongs exclusively to her.

Those who’ve been itching to see Madhuri Dixit’s marvellous dances may not have to wait long. The buzz in the industry is that the cine diva is being wooed by the organizers of the telly show Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa to make a special appearance in the show’s upcoming fifth season.
Madhuri was last seen in the Bollywood musical Aaja Nachle which had her playing a US-returned dancer reviving her old and defunct dance school in a small town in India. The film, sadly, had come a cropper at box office, but Madhuri’s dance prowess had shone through.
To cash in on this Madhuri magic the makers of Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa 5 have approached the actress to appear on the show and even dance on stage.
Negotiations are still going on as Madhuri lives in the US. However, we hear that the actress is interested in making her first appearance on an Indian television dance show.

Ranbir Kapoor may have moved on from his relationship with Deepika Padukone but the onscreen loverboy has strange views when it comes to love. Ask him about his take on the emotion and the actor claims, “I am innocent and immature and have still not understood what love is all about.” He adds that he is still learning what love is all about by acting in films based on love stories. “I keep doing movies which are based on love stories so that I can learn more about love and relationships,” he states.
All this sounds a bit incredible, for whoever thought that acting in romantic films would be a learning ground for lessons in love.
With ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ set on near release, there is buzz all around. The actors Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor are being spotted together at a number of instances. Also creating stirs are the two intimate lip locks that Ranbir and Priyanka share in the film.
These kisses weren’t part of the script but were added in much later during the US schedule. So sensational are these lip locks that they were shot with only the cameraman, director and a light man present. The rest of the crew was asked to leave the sets.
Apparently, Shahid Kapoor is not very comfortable with these scenes as he stills shares close relationship with Priyanka and is even reported to be sending gifts to her in Brazil where she is shooting for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.

It seems Bollywood is flat over remaking hit movies of South, possibly for a spell. The Malayalam flick ’Bodyguard’ is subject to remake in Hindi in which Salman Khan is proposed to play the lead. He is currently playing the lead in the remakes of ’Ready’ and ’Kick’. On lines with the scheme he is eager to do the film ’Bodyguard’. Kareena Kapoor is playing opposite to Salman Khan in the film. Initially, Katrina Kaif was selected for the role but, due to unavailability of her call sheets Kareena Kapoor was approached. The film would be titled ’My Love Story’ in the remake.
Siddique would direct the film and the shooting would commence in December.
The first look of “Gurzaarish” was unveiled here Thursday and Hrithik Roshan, who reportedly plays a magician suffering from paraplegia, says working in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film was like a life-changing experience for him.
“It’s true that I have not done anything that has been life-altering. This film has changed my perspective towards work, changed my life. It’s so beautiful that 30 years or 40 years from now, I will look back and will smile that I had the opportunity to make this film,” Hrithik told reporters at Cinemax, where the first look of “Guzaarish” was unveiled.
“When such a vision, it feels that some films are made for just to see and this is one of that kind, so I just jumped at it,” added the star whose last outing “Kites” couldn’t excite the box office.
He has teamed up with Aishwarya Rai in the movie - this is his third film with the actress after “Dhoom 2″ and “Jodhaa Akbar”.
Bollywood actress Sridevi, who walked the ramp for ace designer Neeta Lulla as the show stopper at the Lakme Fashion Week, came across as very nervous and saved herself twice from falling flat on the ramp.
The beautiful actress, who was sporting a silverish-grey body-fitting gown made an impressive entry on the ramp but soon her nervousness came to the fore as she was found struggling with the train of her dress.
However, the actress still found the experience of walking the ramp quite pleasant. “It was great but at the same time very hard for me,” she told reporters here.
The designer was elated too and revealed: “It was fantastic that on my 25th anniversary Sridevi walked the ramp and so many people actually made it to the show.”
When asked about the actress’ nervousness, Lulla clarified: “As far as I think, it happens some times when you walk the ramp after a long time.”
Lulla’s show, which showcased a collection inspired by the repository of work done by her over the last 25 years in both prêt as well as couture, boasted of Bollywood celebrities like Rani Mukherji, Hema Malini, Yash Chopra, Mugdha Godse, Tabu, Juhi Chawla and Amisha Patel, among others.
Actors Akshay Kumar, Rannvijay and director Vipul Shah also came down to attend the show in a retro avatar to promote their forthcoming film “Action Replayy”. The film also stars Aishwarya Rai and is slated to hit screens Nov 5.
“I really enjoyed the show. Till this Diwali, I will come only in retro look. I don’t think any look has been as good as of the 1970s,” Akshay said.
As far as the collection goes, the ensembles were a mix of western and Indian designs in a deluge of colours including beige, silver, yellow, orange, green, blue, pink, lilac and red.
Embellishments and Swarovski crystals were also used to marl the silver jubilee of the brand.
Following the furore over his controversial remark about 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Salman Khan had quit the micro-blogging site Twitter on September 12.
During the following ten days he was inundated with requests and pleas from his fans to begin tweeting again. A few hours back, Salman returned on twitter and immediately swept his fans with a flurry of tweets including images of his paintings and funny pics of his different fingers and palm.
“Kamaal karte ho yaar ! Thank you for wanting me to come back and sorry to leave, but do understand that I tweet any thing and me friends and family panic,” Salman wrote in his first tweet after comeback.

Ishaa Koppikar has joined an NGO to support the cause of the girl child in the country.
On her birthday, Sunday, the actress joined Childreach International, an international NGO based in Britain.
“I have always believed that child is the father of the man and have always wanted to do something for the children of our country. In India, we see a lot of issues like female foeticide, infanticide, that a girl child faces. Being a woman contributing to helping stopping of these issues is a great opportunity for me,” said Ishaa in a press statement.
Naresh Chaudhary, Country Director for the India office of Childreach International, said Ishaa’s involvement will inspire youngsters to join the cause.
“With Ishaa’s help, I am sure that many youngsters will come forward to participate in our Challenge Events,” he said.
“The money raised would go towards funding projects aimed at improving prospects for the girl child,” he added.
Childreach International supports child welfare programmes to help create awareness on the deprivations faced by children around India. It arranges adventure events for corporates and students while sensitising them towards a social issue. A fee is charged from them, a part of which goes in the logistics and the rest in charity.
Even as bodyguards and security guards barely prevented Bipasha Basu from getting mobbed at a recent store in Gurgaon in Delhi, the store exhausted every single piece of garment in just two hours.
“There were at least two thousand people on that day who had gathered to see Bipasha Basu at a mall in Gurgaon last Saturday (18th September). Since Bipasha had already tweeted about it, word had got out very quickly that she will be shopping at the mall after inaugurating it,” says a source present at the venue.
The actor’s spokesperson also admitted that she had gone to the mall and a large crowd had already gathered there. As her bodyguards and the store’s security wrestled to keep the crowd at bay, Bipasha was asked to have a free run when it came to retail therapy. She was asked to go ahead and shop whatever she felt like buying. Guess what? The crowd followed her and whatever she picked up from the shelves was also picked up by the scores of people following her.
“Everybody said, ‘Jo Bipasha ne liya, wohi kapda humko chahiye’. In the end, the store ran out of garments by three in the afternoon,” the source added.
Her spokesperson confirms the incident too. “At this store launch she shopped to her heart’s content. Before the launch there was an unending queue of enthusiastic consumers outside the store and once the store was inaugurated by 3 pm they were completely sold out by 9 pm,” the spokesperson says.
According to sources, Bipasha picked up a few tops and also interacted with the media, while shopping. “She gave a few interviews as she shopped and in the meanwhile, the crowds were carefully following what she was buying. The entire stock at the store and in the warehouse was over in just a few hours,” the source added.
King Khan Shah Rukh went nostalgic at the launch of Nautanki Mahal in the Kingdom of Dreams, and said that he would love to go back to theatre and perform live in front of the audiences.
"I started my career from theatre and later went on to acting in television and then films. We used to perform plays at Kamani Auditorium, which was at that time considered to be one of the biggest theatres. If given a chance I would love to go back to the stage and perform in front of a live audience. I love to interact with people," he said at the launch.
