Genelia isn't getting married to actor Riteish Deshmukh

Genelia D’Souza is upset with rumours of her wedding with actor Riteish Deshmukh. The actress says she isn’t getting married to anyone for the time being.

"To set the record straight, I am not getting married to anyone. I have always maintained that my personal life is not something I would like to discuss. But this time since it was something that would affect my family, I decided to take a stand," said Genelia in a statement released here on Tuesday.

"My films and my brands are my priority as of now and I’d like to keep it that way. And if I do decide to settle down, you will hear it from me when as and when it happens," she added.

A tabloid had reported the romance brewed between Genelia and Riteish on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003) and that they are planning to get married this year.

"It’s rather funny that we have to read about the progress in our lives in the press before we even know it ourselves. I wonder how news like that can be put out without any confirmation from the people whose lives are being discussed," she said.

Genelia is right now looking forward to the release of Chance Pe Dance. She is paired with Shahid Kapoor in the film, which is releasing on January 15.

I should learn to share my life in Twitter-Shah Rukh Khan

After Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and Preity Zinta, now Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has joined social networking site
Twitter.

"Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.

"Thanks everyone, this is really sweet...didn’t expect such a warm welcome. Love to you all," he added.

The superstar was hardly seen on big screen in 2009 except in "Billu", and explaining the reason behind his absence, he wrote: "Injury has kept me away from making more films. Will work my back off to be around more... the shoulder feels strong and so do I."

In February last year, Shah Rukh underwent an arthroscopic surgery for acute pain in his left shoulder at the Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai.

He is now gearing up for the release of his much-talked about film "My Name Is Khan" which also stars Kajol.

Releasing Feb 12, the film’s story revolves around Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh) who suffers from Asperger syndrome, a form of autism. Rizwan falls in love with a single mother Mandira (Kajol) who lives in San Francisco. Rizwan is detained by authorities at Los Angeles International Airport, mistaking his disability for "suspicious" behaviour.

Right now Shah Rukh is enjoying his holiday with wife and children.

"Kids and life calling...watching Tim Burton’s ’9’ (animated fantasy film directed by Shane Acker) with them...last holiday...so up late...catch up later...," he wrote in his latest posting.

Four former Miss Indias in a different contest to top the box office

Four former Miss Indias - Sushmita Sen,Priyanka Chopra , Neha Dhupia and Celina Jaitely - are ranged against one another in a different contest to top the box office as each of their films hits the screens this month.

While Neha’s ’Raat Gayi Baat Gayi’ and Celina’s ’Accident On Hill Road’ hit theatres Friday, Priyanka’s ’Pyaar Impossible’ and Sushmita Sen’s ’Dulha Mil Gaya’ are slated for release next Friday.

’It’s interesting to note how all our films are releasing in the same month. I’m delighted but I must say whatever be the outcome, I am very proud to be a part of ’Raat Gayi Baat Gayi’,’ said Neha, who had won the Miss India crown in 2002.

According to industry insiders and the market buzz, the only film to have garnered the maximum interest so far is ’Pyaar Impossible’ - a romantic comedy about a beauty and a geek from the Yash Raj Films stable. The Priyanka-Uday Chopra film releases next Friday.

The songs of the film are already among the chartbusters and youngsters are going ga-ga about Priyanka’s look in ’Pyaar Impossible’.

Even Sushmita’s ’Dulha Mil Gaya’, which also releases next Friday, is much awaited, specially due to superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s extended cameo in the movie. The film narrates the story of four individuals, each with a different take on relationships.

Apart from Sushmita, who won the Miss Universe title in 1994, the film features Fardeen Khan and newcomer Mohit Chaddha.

However,’Raat Gayi Baat Gayi’ and ’Accident On Hill Road’ are not being received with much fanfare at the box office.

’Raat Gayi Baat Gayi’ has been directed by Saurabh Shukla and features Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and Ranvir Shorey. It is about how a one-night stand with a mystery woman affects three marriages.

On the other hand, ’Accident On Hill Road’ is a thriller helmed by debutant director Mahesh Nair. It is apparently adapted from Hollywood flick ’Stuck’.

So watch out for the bevy of beauties... coming to a theatre near you.
